SUMMARY:  SPACE CHIMPS is the story of three astronaut chimps that end up being heroes defeating the evil dictator on a faraway planet. This entertaining movie has a strong moral worldview with the characters making sacrifices to do what's right.

IN BRIEF:

SPACE CHIMPS is the story of three chimps sent into space by an opportunity-seeking Senator. Ham III is the grandson of the first chimp in space but doesn't take his job seriously. When Ham III, Luna and Titan land their ship on an unknown planet, the planet's evil dictator Zartog captures Titan. Ham III and Luna face many dangers to rescue Titan. As the trio is about to return to earth, Ham III leads his partners on a mission to stop the dictator. Though this means they have no way back to earth, they willingly agree to stop the evil Zartog.

The story in SPACE CHIMPS comes from a strong moral worldview. The characters make a choice to do what's right in order to help the people rather than just return home, letting the chips fall where they may. The voices are terrific and the animation is good, though not up to the standard of Pixar. There are some slight, implied sexual references. For instance, one character tells another character to find their own place to sleep. However, the movie is a fun adventure that will give some chuckles to children and adults.
