CONTENT: (PaPaPa, HoHo, LLL, VV, SSS, N, AA, DD, MMM) Grossly very strong pagan worldview where sex, drugs and alcohol are promoted, plus some homosexual characters, including star football player's father is a cross dresser; 34 obscenities, six strong profanities and four light profanities, plus many sexual innuendos and derogatory terms like "retard" and "moron"; highly exaggerated football violence along with people being hit by busses and experiencing painful falls; implied adultery and fornication, nearly constant sexual jokes and comments, strong homosexual references (including depicted cross-dressing and a lesbian kiss), reference to bestiality, and young man gropes girl in bra made to look like footballs; girl's clothes ripped off to reveal bikini underwear, men in shower shown low waist up, female cleavage in several scenes, and coach strips to his underwear and is chased by police; men drink from huge beer cans and coach brings alcohol to his players; man chews and spits out tobacco and coach brings illegal drugs to his players; and, dishonesty, racism, cheating, and insults galore.

IN BRIEF:

THE COMEBACKS stars David Koechner as a demented coach who can lose at any sport. After retiring from coaching to become a racehorse sperm collector, he gets a job coaching the Comebacks, an inept small college football team. The plot is little more than an excuse to present repulsive jokes like the coach chastising his players for getting good grades. The coach insists that if you really care about football you will skip classes and party after games by getting drunk and using drugs. As the team makes their run at the championship, numerous scenes recall the plots of other sports movies.

THE COMEBACKS is a sickening, poorly done satire so heavily laden with sexual innuendos it is repulsive. Words that don't qualify as obscenities are used to imply the same vulgar concepts. The actors are constantly called on to look and sound stupid. They succeed. The filmmakers work hard to be as pathetic as possible for 84 minutes while mocking admirable characters from movies like RUDY, RADIO, REMEMBER THE TITANS, and INVINCIBLE. If you want to see a really funny sports satire, go rent HORSEFEATHERS with the Marx Brothers.
